Manranjan Fort

Shrivardhan Fort
On the east of Rajmachi town rests the Shrivardhan Fort. This historical fort was once under the rule of the Maratha rulers. That’s why it features a distinct Maratha style of architecture. Here you will find intricate Buddhist caves apart from two water tanks and a temple.

Tungarli Dam and Lake
This place remains a popular spot to enjoy day picnic amidst untouched facades of nature all around. Encircled by the Sahyadri Hills, Tungarli Village is just perfect to capture bird’s eye views of the city of Rajmachi. Camping facilities are available here too for trekkers who wish to relish a night view of the lake site.

Rajmachi Wildlife Sanctuary
With a scenic setting amidst dense green forests, Rajmachi Wildlife Sanctuary rests on the foothills of Western Ghats in Sahyadri ranges. Here you will spot a variety of animals and birds. The giant Indian squirrel remains a major lure here. The sanctuary is perfect for leisure walks, bird watching and trekking.

Bhairavnath Temple
Bhairavnath Temple is a famous temple of the village dedicated to Lord Shiva. Many shrines of other Hindu gods and goddesses are located here encircling the main Sanctum Sanctorum. The temple hosts grand Mahashivarathri celebrations, a major festival for the devotees of Lord Shiva.

Best Time to Visit
Monsoon season from June to September is the best time to visit Rajmachi when the natural beauty of this village gets washed by rain showers, making it look even greener.
