The park is spread over an area of 430sq. km and is known for its unmatched variety of flora and fauna. The park also acts home to pigmy hog, royal Bengal tiger, elephant, etc. The forest cover of Kaziranga is diverse and can be divided into Riparian Fringing Forest, Dillenia Swamp Forest and Assam Alluvial Plains Semi-evergreen Forest. A safari through its forest cover bestows great experience to the devotees of flora.

The Park is divided into various zones each having its own unique attraction. You can pick from Central Safari Zone, Western Safari Zone, Eastern Safari Zone, and Burapahar Safari Zone.
