One of the popular attractions of Patnitop is Gourikund, which is considered as the place where Devi Parvati, the goddess, comes and bathes every day. Taking a dip in the sacred water of this holy Gaurikund is believed to keep away all the bad fortune. From the area of Gaurikund, visitors can see the top of holy Kailash Parvat (peak).
Another famous attraction here is the Naag Temple. The locals affirm that all the wishes of the devotees who visit this temple are almost granted from the Serpent God. Photography is not allowed inside the temple and many locals allege that those who managed to click pictures inside had terrible dreams and had to either delete them or surrender back if printed.
Sudh Mahadev Mandir is another popular attraction here. Pilgrims visit this shrine of the 3 day festival of Sudhmahadev, to worship the Trident (Trishul) and a mace. Cultural programs are organized during the 3 day festival; in which the local performers entertain the visitors by showcasing various local dances and singing folk songs.
Another must visit attraction here is the Pine Forest, which also serves as the perfect picnic spot. Peaceful walks and breathtaking views of the mountains of the Chenab basin make this place a popular place among the tourists.
