Boasting of various refreshing attractions, Chaubatia Gardens is among the popular attractions of Ranikhet. Famous for the orchards of apples, plums, peaches and apricots, the garden is a nature lover’s delight as it offers enchanting views of Nanda Devi, Nilkanth, Nandaghunti and Trishul peaks.
Tourists can also visit the state run fruit research centre here. There is a Bhalu Dam near it, which is an artificial lake surrounded by pleasant forests, popular for camping trip and picnic. If you are someone who enjoys trekking, then the place will fulfill your wish.
The Upat Kalika Golf Course, situated at about 6km from Ranikhet, is considered among the highest golf courses in India and is a popular attraction here. Though it is an Army golf course, civilians’ entry into its ground is allowed for which they need to pay a nominal fee. Maintained by the Kumaon Regiment, the place remains open throughout the year.
Another popular attraction here is the Mankameshwar temple, dedicated to Goddess Kali, Lord Shiva and Radha-Krishna. The temple was reconstructed in the year 1978 by the soldiers of the Kumaon Regiment. The ethereal beauty surrounding the shrine is worth experiencing. A woolen garment factory and gurudwara near the temple are also visited by tourists.
Another major tourist attraction is the Tarikhet that houses the cottage of Mahatma Gandhi. Tourists can also visit the temple of a local deity, Golu.
Dedicated to Goddess Durga, Jhoola Devi is an ancient temple built in the 8th Century. The temple is adorned with several bells offered by devotees.

By Rail: Nearest railhead is Kathgodam, which is 86 kms away from Ranikhet.
By Road: There is good network of roads which connects Ranikhet to the rest of Uttarakhand. Nainital, Kathgodam, Ramnagar and Delhi are well-connected to Ranikhet through direct bus services.
