One of the popular attractions of Manikaran is the Sri Guru Nanak Devji Gurdwara. The popularity of the Gurudwara is because of the myth attached to it. People believe that Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikhism visited this place along with his five disciples. The hot spring in the gurudwara’s premises also attracts many visitors.
Another major attraction here is the Temple of Lord Shiva. A unique feature of the temple is that it tilted a bit after a massive earthquake hit the region in 1905.

Harinder Mountain is another popular attraction here. The town of Manikaran is encircled on the northern side by the mountain range called Harinder. Harinder Mountain’s snow-capped peaks offer beautiful views of Manikaran town.

Other famous attractions of the place include Shoja, Malana and Khirganga where visitors can undertake trekking.

Best time to visit Manikaran
The summers of Manikaran are extremely pleasant with the average temperature of around 10 degrees. They stretch from the month of April to June. This is the ideal time to visit this town. Winters and cold and harsh, however, a lot of people like to visit Manikaran during these months as well.

How to reach Manikaran
By Air – The nearest airport to Manikaran is Bhuntar Airport. There are no regular flights from other major cities of the country to Manikaran.
By Train – Manikaran does not have a railway station, and the nearest option is Summer Hill.
By Road – Regular buses to Manikaran are available from other major cities of the country.
