Another magnificent waterfall here is the Katiki or Katika Waterfall situated near Borra Caves in Vishakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh. Padmapuram Gardens is a popular botanical garden in Araku and a popular attraction among tourists. Along with the toy train, the garden also contains tree top huts. The chief attractions here are the beautiful rose garden and exotic varieties of plants that are sold to visitors.

Duduma Waterfalls (also known as Matsya Tirtha) is located in Orissa close to Munchingiputtu village of Visakhapatnam District. With a height of 520 feet, this is one of the most popular waterfalls in Orissa state.

The Anantagiri Reserved Forest and Sunkarimetta Reserved Forest are part of the Araku Valley. This valley is surrounded by mountains like Galikonda, Raktakonda, Sunkarimetta and Chitamogondi. Jindhagada Peak, the tallest peak in Eastern Ghats and the tallest in Andhra Pradesh is situated near Araku.

Best time to visit
The winters in Araku Valley are pleasant with a maximum temperature of 25° Celsius during day time. Winter nights in Araku Valley can get cooler as the temperature reaches a minimum of 10° Celsius. October to March is the best season to visit Araku Valley.

How to reach
By AirVizag airport is the nearest airport in Araku Valley. From this airport many flights run on a regular basis connecting it to different parts of the country.
By Train – There are two railway stations at Araku on the Kothavalasa-Kirandul railway line of Visakhapatnam division of the East Coast Railway. Shimiliguda railway station is located at an altitude of 996 m above mean sea level. It is well connected to Vizag and Kirandul. Araku has frequent buses from Vizag and Vizianagaram.
By Road - From Vishakhapatnam one can get buses to reach Araku Valley. Both private as well as state buses and cabs are found from here that charge a very less amount.
