Dandeli National Park

You can also catch a glimpse of the barking deer, bison, Indian Mongolian, Black Panther, sambhar, tiger, leopard, elephant, flying squirrel and the Malabar giant squirrel.

A major attraction at the Park is the Kavala Caves, which is a perfect historical destination for the tourists to visit. Visitors will have to trek few thousands steps through a dense forest to reach the group of caves. These caves are valued as a holy abode of Lord Shiva-the Hindu god of Destruction.

Another famous attraction of the Park is the Kulgi Nature Camp, which is composed of a small museum and a nature interpretation centre. The main highlight of this museum is the stuffed remained of 13-ft king cobra which was caught few years back in this area. Besides, the tourists can have the added fun of the camping attractions.
Adjoining from the Dandeli Reserve Area, the Anshi National Park is another major attraction. Anshi forms a protected forest area of over 2200 sq kms, and is mainly composed of deep valleys, steep hills and rich forests.
