Another divine space close to Ramanathaswamy Temple is the Lakshmana Tirtham temple. The temple of Laxmana contains several instances of Ramayana engraved on its walls.

Jada Tirtham is another famous touristic hub which is famous among the Hindu devotees for its sacred pond. An interesting fact about the Jada Tirtham is that it is believed to be the only place in India where Lord Kapardisvara is worshipped.

Another picturesque religious destination of Rameshwaram is Villondi Tirtham where Lord Rama dipped his bow into the seawater to quench his consort Sita’s thirst.

There are also other sightseeing options available in Rameshwaram aside from temples. A famous attraction here is the Glass Boat Ride at Pamban Bridge. With exotic fishes and marvelous corals to witness, the glass boat ride is an experience worth enjoying.

Another beautiful site that should not be missed is the Adam’s Bridge or Rama Setu. This debatable historic bridge connects Rameshwaram island of India to the north-western coast of Sri Lanka. You can observe a chain of limestone shoals that starts from Dhanushkodi tip of India’s Pamban Island.

The next popular attraction here is the Ariyaman Beach located on the side of Palk Bay in the district of Ramanathapuram. The beach serves as an ideal spot for picnics and short trips. By Air - The nearest airport to Rameshwaram is Madurai Airport. Buses, cabs and rented taxis can be taken from outside of the airport to reach the city and further more.
By Road - Regular bus services are provided by local transport association to various other cities and places. Rameshwaram can also be reached by car through different routes.
By Rail - Rameshwaram railway station is the medium through one can reach the city via the rail link.
