Phawngpui Hills: Resting in Chhimtuipui District, Phawngpui Hills remains the highest mountain peak in the state.  Also named as the ‘House of Gods’, this charming hill station remains blanketed with vibrant species of orchids, aromatic herbs, unusual fauna and multi-colored rhododendron. Travelers visit here to enjoy panoramic vistas of the verdant green hillocks.

Reiek: Reiek Tlang, at a height of 1600 meters, is one of the highest hills of the state. This place is perfect for peace seekers, nature lovers and adventurous souls. Reiek Tlang is just 35 km away from the main city and is ideal to enjoy trekking amidst the Mizo Hills.

Mizoram State Museum: This museum houses multipurpose collections on display. Here you can explore five galleries, including Textile Gallery, Ethnology, History, Anthropology, Natural History, and Archeology Terrace.  The museum was set up in April 1977. Here you will also find an entire gallery showcasing the richness of the Mizo tribes.

Vantawang Falls: This is the highest waterfall in Mizoram and the 13th highest in India. This remains a popular attraction here as it is considered as the pride of Mizoram. The waterfall is surrounded by verdant valleys and makes a perfect location to enjoy picnic.

KV Paradise: This 3 storied mausoleum was constructed in the remembrance of Varte. Its beautiful architecture is enough to attract travelers. Here you will also see display of odd collection of her clothes and shoes.  

Best Time to Visit
Aizawl can be visited throughout the year. However, months from March to May see more travelers as city offers a perfect escape from summer sun.

How to Reach
By Air: Lengpui Airport is a domestic airport in Aizawl connected by daily flights with Guwahati and Kolkata.
By Rail: Aizawl does not have a railway station and the closest one is in Lumding.
By Road: Travelers can find many buses and taxis running on all routes from here.
