The park covers an area of 430sq. km and brims with matchless variety of flora and fauna. Take a safari experience around the park and witness great Indian one horned rhino apart from pigmy hog, royal Bengal tiger, elephant, etc. The forest cover of Kaziranga is broadly divided into Riparian Fringing Forest, Dillenia Swamp Forest and Assam Alluvial Plains Semi-evergreen Forest. The forest here is virgin and looks magical to every nature lover.

The wilderness of Kaziranga National Park bestows great excitement and adventure. The best time to visit the park is between November and April.

Tea Estate: Assam is world famous for tea plantation and Kaziranga is just the right place to savor its views. Jorhat near Kaziranga houses a popular Tocklai Tea Research Institute where you get an opportunity to learn about the production of tea apart from tasting freshly made tea in diverse flavors.  

Kakochang Waterfall: If you are visiting Kaziranga, you must take out time to explore Kakochang Waterfall to give yourself some moments of peace. The waterfall is just 14 km from the National Park and is known for its pristine nature and awe-inspiring weather. It is a great place for trekking lovers too.

How to Reach:
By Air: There are two closest airports to the park - Guwahati International Airport and Jorhat Airport.
By Rail: The nearest railway station to Kaziranga Park is Furkating located at a convenient distance of 75 km.
By Road: The Park lies on National Highway NH 37 which is well connected to all the major cities of Assam.
