Khawnglung Wildlife Sanctuary
Sprawling over an area of 35 sq km, Khawnglung Wildlife Sanctuary is a heaven of peace. Situated at a distance of 170 kms from the region of Aizawl, this Sanctuary stands at a height of around 400 to 1300 meters. Travelers get awe-struck by the beauty of its spectacular location.  The wildlife hub is mostly embellished with Sub-Tropical and Semi Evergreen Forests all around which make a great home for the wild animals residing here. Climate of this wildlife sanctuary remains enjoyable all year along and thus, it can be visited in all seasons.

Travelers enjoying a safari experience at Khawnglung Wildlife Sanctuary can spot a variety of wildlife animals like Sambhar, Hoolock Gibbon, Himalayan Serow, Wild Boar, Barking Deer, etc. The place receives around about 2100 mm of rainfall, which adds to the beauty of the park. If you wish to spot the most pleasant hues of nature here, you must plan your holiday between October and March when the nature here seems even more beautiful and weather is fantastic.
