Fondly named as the Land of the Marble Rocks, Bhedaghat is a rustic village around 25kms from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. Sacred Narmada River flows through this village and it is perfect to enjoy vistas of nature all around. Bhedaghat earned fame due to the 100 ft tall splendid rocks on either sides of Narmada. Marble Rocks
The sights of Marble Rocks in Bhedaghat are indeed incredible. These are made of humongous limestone and magnesium and look spectacular. Many Bollywood movie scenes have been shot here due to their dramatic beauty. Visit here on a full moon night when the place looks even more charming. Boating can also be enjoyed here between the months of November-May.
Dhuandhar Falls
Dhuandhar Falls is made out of the Narmada River. The waterfall makes huge sound and can be reached by taking a beautiful trek. Travellers can also partake in a cable car ride which takes them to the other side of the gorge. Numerous shops are dotted around the area selling souvenirs, marble rocks and local handicrafts.
Chausath Yogini Temple
This temple is dedicated to goddess Durga. It belongs to the 10th century and features delicately designed stone figures of deities who were worshipped by people of the Kalchuri period. The temple is well linked to the Gond Queen Durgavati's palace which remains a must explored historical wonder.
