Kanch Mandir is also a major attraction of Indore. It is a temple made of glass and mirrors, and is often called as Seth Hukamchand Temple as it was built by Sri Hukamchand Seth in the early 20th century. This beautiful temple is a sacred place among people of Jain religious community, as the idol of Lord Mahavira, who was the founder of Jainism, is the presiding deity in the temple. Along with mirrors, patterned ceramic tiles are also used for decorating the temple.

The best months to visit Indore are October to March. July to September is also a good time to visit the city as the temperature comes down a bit due to rain showers. Summers must be avoided due to the scorching heat.

By Air – Indore is well connected by flight to major cities like Bhopal, Gwalior, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Nagpur, Jaipur, Raipur Delhi and Mumbai. The airport is just 8 kms away from the city.
By Train – Indore is connected to most major cities like Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Vadodra to name a few. Khandwa and Ratlam are the two major junctions on the metre gauge.
By Road – Indore is well connected to other cities of the state through state and national highways. Other than that there is a bus/cab service to cities like Bhopal, Gwalior, Ujjain and Sanchiamong others.
