Sanchi Stupa

Sanchi Museum
Sanchi Museum is a dream of every history lover. This is a prominent religious and architectural heritage site. Displays in the museum belong to the 3rd, 2nd and 1st century B.C. Visit here and explore a range of centauries old Caskets and Pottery. The museum also houses the well-known Ashok Lion Capital which was later accepted as the National Emblem of India. Apart from this, Statues of a Yakshi and Buddha in red sandstone also grab attention of every visitor.

Gupta Temple
This Gupta Temple beautifully represents religious and architectural heritage of India. The temple has brilliantly designed structures in Indian Architecture. Here you will see a simple flat roofed chamber apart from a pillared porch. It is simple yet unique in its own way.

Ashoka Pillar
Ashoka Pillar was raised in the 3rd century B.C.  This major tourist attraction has a shaft and a crown with four lions. However, today you cannot see the whole pillar standing here. The pillar has a Greco Buddhist style of Architecture and has great resemblance to the pillar at Sarnath. The lions on the pillar are intricately carved and the pillar shines bright till date.

Udaigiri Caves
Udaigiri Caves is around 13 km from Sanchi. Here you will see both Hindu and Jain caves. Numerous Buddhist Monks used to reside here in 2 B.C. The caves grab attention of all with their elaborate carvings of Lord Vishnu. Travellers visiting here get to explore the unmatched cultural, architectural and religious legacy of the country.
